Vox Family, This is the day that the Lord has made! And though we choose to rejoice in it, we also confess our sadness at being apart from one another this morning. The days ahead appear to be challenging and uncertain, but there is no moment or inch of creation over which Jesus is not already Lord. Jesus alone is our peace today and every day. Join us virtually by watching the message below from our staff. Below are the prayers we would be saying in our gathering this morning. Take some time and pray through them on your own or with someone near you. Prayers of the People Leader: Please pray with me. All: Merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart and mind and strength. We have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. In your mercy forgive what we have been, help us amend what we are, and direct what we shall be, so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways, to the glory of your holy name. Through Christ, our Lord. Amen. Leader: I ask your prayers, either silently or aloud. Please make your requests known to God. (Leave a moment of silence) Leader: Almighty and everlasting God, increase in us the gifts of faith, hope, and charity; and, that we may obtain what you promise, make us love what you command; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. Leader: Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us all our sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. Amen. Offering Please help support the ministry of Vox Dei Community through this challenging time by making a financial offering. Let us pray for right hearts as we make our offering: In truth, we have nothing but you, O Christ, nothing that we might call our own. Let this confession compel our stewardship. Teach us to treasure you, Jesus, above all things, and to demonstrate our devotion in increasing generosity. Let us learn, while we draw breath, to live with open hands and a joy-filled heart, investing your resources in your good works. All that we have is yours, Lord Christ, all that we have is you. Use then our offerings for works of love and mercy and unto the increase of your glory. Amen. We'd love to hear from you! Please comment below if you have something to share.
